Burnham-On-Sea police have praised carnival goers for their good behaviour at Monday’s event.
Just one person was arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour after jumping onto a cart in Love Lane.
Inspector Roger Tolley, pictured, said it was one of Burnham’s quietest ever carnivals – which was welcome after three arrests following Sunday’s fireworks.
“It was a very enjoyable evening, there was a good atmosphere. Generally, I would praise the behaviour of spectators. The crowds also dispersed quickly at the end of the evening and people went home happy.”
Officers from Burnham, Bridgwater and Taunton mingled with spectators along the route during the evening.
