Legendary world superbike rider Carl Fogarty made a surprise visit to a Burnham-On-Sea cafe on Tuesday morning (May 10th).
Carl Fogarty dropped in at the Bay View Cafe on The Esplanade where he and a friend enjoyed a coffee.
Owner Sonya Fudge told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were very honoured to have a brief visit by Carl.”
“It’s always nice to have celebrities call in. In the past we’ve had visits from the actor Kevin McNally, who was in Pirates of the Caribbean, and the late TV star John Inman, who was in Are You Being Served?.”
Carl – known as ‘Foggy’ in the biking world – is widely regarded as being the most successful World Superbike racer of all time in terms of his number of championships and race wins. Now retired, he netted 59 victories and four World Superbike Championships.
