A group of Burnham-On-Sea care staff are celebrating following a long service event.
The celebration acknowledged Somerset Care staff from Greenhill House and Frith House for their long service, celebrating an amazing combined total of 85 years.
The event was attended by long service recipients with their guests and colleagues, plus Operations Manager, Linda Tungate and Chris Davies, Chairman of the Somerset Care Group.
Before presenting the recipients with their certificates, attendees heard from the Somerset Care Group Chairman, Chris Davies, who thanked all the dedicated staff for their commitment and stressed the importance of their roles within the care homes and the local community.
The long service recipients from Frith House included the Manager, Vicki Mitchell and Matet Estioco, Deputy Manger of the Burnham-on-Sea care home.
Staff member, Claire Warner was also presented with a service certificate, Claire had previously volunteered at Frith House for 22 years, before officially joining the staff team 5 years ago.
Speaking at the event, Manager Vicki Mitchell said: “We’ve had a wonderful celebration today. It’s a huge achievement to be celebrating a combined total of 85 years service and I’m proud to be a part of this dedicated team.”
Somerset Care is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare providers in Southern England. The Company provides over 29,000 hours of community care every week of the year to people in their own homes and through their residential care services they operate 30 care homes which provide residential and nursing care for over 1,550 residents.
