The cause of a late night caravan blaze in Berrow last night (Saturday) is being investigated after being tackled by fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea.
Firefighters were called at 10.30pm to Coast Road in Berrow, where a static caravan was alight.
“One fire appliance from Burnham and one fire appliance from Bridgwater were sent to reports of the fire,” said a spokesman.
“The fire crews confirmed that there had been a fire which was confined to 25% of the caravan.”
“The fire was out on arrival of the fire service and had been extinguished by members of the public.”
An ambulance also attended to provide treatment for two persons suffering from smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
