Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called to extinguish a blazing car transporter last night (Wednesday).
Two fire appliances from Burnham rushed to the A370 in East Brent at 7pm where a car transporter vehicle was alight.
“Crews found the vehicle on fire and proceeded to extinguish it using a hose reel jet. It appeared the brakes had jammed, setting the rear tyres alight,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
There was 50% fire damage to rear axle. The cause was believed to be accidental.
