Burnham-On-Sea police arrested three people on Monday evening after pulling over a stolen car in the town which had been identified by roadside CCTV cameras.
Police swooped on the Fiat Brava as it drove along Burnham Road at around 6pm, as pictured here.
“An automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera in Burnham had alerted us that the vehicle had been stolen from the Midlands,” a Burnham Police spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We quickly found it, followed it and stopped it before arresting three men inside on suspicion of theft.”
“It was a good result and showed how useful the cameras are at helping us tackle crime even in another force area.”
