Coastguards and BARB crews called to car stuck on Brean beach

-

Crews from Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards and BARB Search & Rescue were called out on Wednesday afternoon (December 28th) to reports of a car stuck on Brean beach.

The crews were paged at 3.50pm after the owner of the vehicle raised the alarm that it was stranded in soft sand in the beach parking area.

Fortunately, the owner managed to free the car and was safe and well. The crews were stood down without further action.

Motorists using the beach are always advised to stay to the areas of the beach with hard sand in the official parking areas. Always check the tide times and heed warning signs about beach closing times.
