A 20 year-old man’s car was seized by police in Burnham-On-Sea on Christmas Eve after it was allegedly seen being driven dangerously in the town centre.
Officers pulled over the motorist at 10.30pm outside the Somerset and Dorset pub and the Ford Focus was taken away.
“Several police saw him perform a ‘handbrake turn’ in the road outside the pub. He was given a warning for dangerous driving and his vehicle was seized,” Inspector Roger Tolley told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We take dangerous driving very seriously and will seize vehicles if they are being driven in an anti-social manner.”
The man was given a fine of £150 to recover the vehicle, plus a £15 per day fee.
