Police have seized a vehicle in Highbridge that was being driven without insurance.
Officers from Burnham-On-Sea Police pulled over the car after it was seen being driven through a red traffic light in the town centre.
On speaking to the driver, police discovered that no insurance was held by the driver so the vehicle was seized.
The driver has been reported for summons to court to answer for the offences.
PCSO Peter Williams from Burnham Police said: “People driving without insurance could face a hefty fine in court and up to eight points on their licence.”
“This is in addition to having your car immediately seized by the Police. The much higher cost is the lives lost when uninsured drivers take to the roads. Don’t take the risk.”
