Emergency services rushed to the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday afternoon (February 8th) after a car overturned.
The vehicle flipped over on the northbound carriageway between junctions 22 at Burnham and 21 at Weston-super-Mare shortly before 2pm.
Paramedics, fire crews and police from Burnham-On-Sea were quickly on the scene.
Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The car overturned on the hard shoulder and after initially checking over the vehicle, the incident was soon transferred to the Highways Agency, indicating there were no serious injuries.”
A 50mph speed restriction was put into place, leading to some delays for motorists using the route. The delays were cleared by 3.30pm.
