Highbridge shopper’s shock as car is keyed by vandals outside store

-

A shocked shopper in Highbridge has been left with an expensive repair bill after having her car keyed in broad daylight.

Tara Baker parked her Renault outside Asda’s Caxton Road store on Thursday morning (November 14th) and found a long scratch along the whole side of the vehicle when she returned.

“My daughter is struggling to make a living and has ended up with what could be a £600 respray bill,” her mother Geraldine Tillam told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“There’s no-one to take responsibility – it’s not right. It’s another act of mindless vandalism. We are asking anyone who saw anything to report it.”

“What makes it worse is that Christmas is just a few weeks away and with four children this is an expensive time of year. Christmas is very unforgiving and my daughter is such a loving caring woman.”

Anyone who saw the incident at around 11.50am or saw anyone acting suspiciously should contact Burnham-On-Sea Police on the non emergency number 101.
