Burnham fire crew extinguishes ‘deliberate’ car fire at Berrow

-

This was all that remained of a car that was deliberately set alight in Berrow late on Friday evening (June 20th).

One fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea was called to extinguish the blaze at 10.09pm in Red Road near to Rose Farm.

A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The crew extinguished the fire using compressed air foam.”

“The damage to the car was 90% to the internal and 75% to the external parts of the vehicle. The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.”

It is the second incident involving a vehicle left at this spot in recent months – we reported in May how a car had been deliberately set alight.
