Photographers from across the Burnham-On-Sea area held an exhibition of their best shots on Sunday afternoon (December 14th).
A steady line of visitors attended the Burnham Area Youth Centre to see a display of more than 100 photos taken by Burnham Camera Club members.
“Visitors got a chance to see a wide range of images taken by local photographers,” club member Keith Gough told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “It’s been a successful first exhibition and we hope to repeat it again in the future.”
Burnham-On-Sea Mayor Peter Burridge-Clayton was among the visitors to the show (as pictured above) and said: “A fantastic exhibition – we have some talented people here in Burnham and Highbridge. Well done.”
The event also included a demonstration of professional portrait photography in the youth centre’s training room, where visitors were able to have quality photos taken of themselves under studio lighting conditions.
Based at the BAY Centre, the club was set up in January 2008 to help snappers improve their photographic skills. The group holds regular Thursday meetings at 7pm in the BAY Centre in Cassis Close when newcomers are welcome.
