Burnham mother’s cake sale raises charity cash in memory of daughter

-

A Burnham-On-Sea mother whose daughter died of cancer at the young age of 43 last year has held a fundraising charity event in her memory this week.

Rose King held a cake sale at her home in South Terrace in memory of Sam Greenall, who passed away last September after a four-year battle with cancer.

Sam left three children under 10 years of age and this week’s event was held to raise cash for SEE SAW, a charity that helps bereaved children through the pain and grief of losing someone they love.

Rose told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was wonderful to have such superb support for this event. All the cakes were donated by family and friends and there was a steady stream of visitors during the day. I would like to pass on my thanks to everyone who gave me support.”
