A child was rushed to hospital on Tuesday morning (January 15th) after an accident with a bus in Burnham-On-Sea.
The youngster was crossing Burnham Road, near King Alfred School, when the incident involving a single-decker school bus occurred.
Police and paramedics were quickly on the scene, as pictured here, and the child was taken to Weston-super-Mare General Hospital.
Burnham Road was closed to traffic for almost 40 minutes while police dealt with the incident.
Police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called at 8.17am to an incident on Burnham Road after a child was involved in a collision with a bus.”
He added: “The child’s injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening.”
The accident led to delays for motorists in the area.
