Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club got their carnival season off to a great start at Bridgwater Carnival on Saturday night (November 2nd).
The club’s huge Caribbean-themed cart, called ‘Iko Iko’, was cheered on by spectators along the route of the carnival.
The cart came second in its juvenile category behind Marina Sydenham.
The club’s 25 young members on the cart are now eagerly awaiting the 2019 Burnham-On-Sea Carnival on Monday November 4th in front of their home crowd.
Hillview Carnival Club Chairman Duncan Britton said: “We have a great cart this year and hopes are high for another successful season.”
