Burnham-On-Sea’s Avenue Tennis Club will be open to visitors today (Sunday, July 14th) before the Wimbledon Men’s Final for budding tennis stars of the future to try their skills.
The Avenue Tennis Club in The Grove will be open before the Men’s Wimbledon Final from 10am-2pm.
The club will be open to visitors to go on court with the coaches who will take them through shots and games, and try out the ball machine or relax and watch the kids have some fun. All equipment will be provided.
Meanwhile, Coach Vinny Duddy is holding Vinny’s Minis fun-themed tennis sessions at the Avenue Tennis Club for kids from 4pm-11pm every Friday.
Duddy says: “We try to make Friday nights at the Avenue a family fun night with Vinny’s Minis. The kids can join in with me and their parents can get involved in the social doubles or take part in the pay-and-play sessions at a cost of £2 with all equipment provided along with a coach to get you started. The bar is normally open from around 7.30pm for refreshments afterwards.”
The club also has a month’s free membership offer available for anyone who wants to give tennis a go and wants to get an insight into the club before joining.
Qualified coaches provide coaching throughout the week for all ages and abilities. Membership of the club allows players access to play on 1 of the 8 floodlit courts (4 astra-turfed and 4 tarmac), together with access to a fantastic clubhouse with a well stocked bar, wi-fi and changing facilities for all.
