Burnham-On-Sea’s Lidl supermarket has submitted a planning application to extend its delivery hours on Sundays.
The Oxford Street store has submitted a ‘Reserved Matters’ application to Sedgemoor District Council for a change to service deliveries on Sundays, which are currently allowed between 9am and 6pm.
It is proposed that the Sunday delivery times are extended by one hour to 7pm.
In the application, the company adds: “The store will continue to receive the same number of deliveries as existing, to include a maximum of two deliveries on a Sunday.”
The application – ref 11/21/00075 – will be considered by councillors in coming weeks.
