A kind-hearted Burnham-On-Sea youngster has donated her hair to a charity that provides wigs to children who have lost their hair after chemotherapy.
Sofia Mathews, 9, decided she’d have 13 inches of her blonde locks cut off to help the Little Princess Trust.
Sofia has visited Haircraft in Burnham-On-Sea’s Regent Street, where manager Zoe Hughes cut off her blonde locks, as pictured here.
It’s the second time that Sofia has donated her hair to the charity, which helps scores of children suffering hair loss each year and funds research into childhood cancer.
Sofia said afterwards: “I hope it goes to a child that likes blonde hair.”
“I’m starting to grow it again, and hope to donate again next year, which will be for the third time.”
“My hair feels much lighter, and it’s now easier to brush.”
