Popular Burnham-On-Sea Yarn Over craft making group celebrates its sixth birthday

-

Members of a Burnham-On-Sea craft-making group are celebrating its sixth birthday this month.

The popular Burnham-On-Sea Yarn Over group was launched  in February 2013 and now has 15 members who week on a weekly basis at Burnham’s Princess Theatre.

The group brings together people interested in yarn or wool related hobbies, including knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving or tapestry making.

One of the team, Jessie Maddocks, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re a friendly group of local people who all enjoy working or playing with yarn or wool.”

“New members are very welcome to come along and join in – share your expertise, learn something new, or simply enjoy time with like-minded friends in a welcoming atmosphere in the theatre’s arts lounge.”

The group meets most Wednesdays from 7-9pm and the only cost is for any drinks or cakes purchased on the evening. The group does not meet when certain theatre shows are in production.
