Burnham-On-Sea water skiers selected to compete at World Championships

-

Two young Burnham-On-Sea water skiers have being selected to compete at the sport’s World Championships.

Hannah and Lauren Bird will be travelling to France this autumn to take part in the prestigious event.

A spokesperson for Speedbird Waterski Racing said: “We are delighted to announce that both our skiers Hannah and Lauren bird have been selected to compete in the World Championships in Vichy, France in September 2019.”

“Hannah will be skiing with team ‘Stand and Deliver’ from Wales and Lauren will be skiing with team ‘Bumble Bee’ from Austria.”

“There is a lot of training to be done between now and then, with Hannah having to get through physio first from her foot injury she sustained in August, but we are sure if anyone can come bask stronger, she can.”

“Andy, our UK driver, will continue to be a big part of the team for 2019 but we are especially excited about the new season as Lauren is going up to ladies category, even though she still have 2 years left in juniors.”
