A Burnham-On-Sea singer who received praise from music legend Sir Paul McCartney has released her first single on various streaming platforms this month.
Melissa Fear’s debut single, called ‘Heavy’, is gaining positive feedback from her followers and new listeners. It is available here.Â
She told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “After graduating from Paul McCartney’s music school during the uncertainty of the pandemic, the road to releasing this first single has been a long one, but I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
“The song is a gasp for air through hard times and longing for what could have been but, ultimately, it is a resolve for self-love and letting go.”
Melissa adds: “Having been commended by Sir Paul himself for my songwriting in a one-to-one songwriting session and taken under the wing of the Bristol Beacon (formerly the Colston Hall) for the past 18 months, I’ve been really driven to make the jump into officially releasing something.”
“The positivity from those around me in the local community has always been a massive boost to me – I am always so grateful for the endless support and encouraging comments.”
Melissa is also looking forward to performing the new single live at Bristol Beacon’s opening event on 2nd December.
