A new series of beginners quilting and patchwork classes are set to start in Burnham-On-Sea in May.
Michaela Pates, pictured, will be holding the sessions at Burnham-On-Sea Baptist Church in College Street each Tuesday from May 6th between 6-8pm.
Michaela says: “I have been doing patchwork and quilting for 14 years and have made many quilts and quilted items during that time.”
“There will be an initial 5-week beginners course during which participants will learn the basics of patchwork and quilting, using a sewing machine, and have the chance to practice the techniques during the class.”
The first class will be held on Tuesday 6th May, from 6pm – 8pm, and classes will take place weekly until the final one on Tuesday 3rd June.
A sewing machine is essential for participation in the class. The cost of the 5-week course is £50 per person and places are limited.
