A Burnham-On-Sea motorbike group has raised over £6,000 for charity since it was formed seven years ago.
‘Burnham Bike Knights’ holds weekly gatherings of motorbike enthusiasts from across the region every Tuesday night at The Lighthouse Inn when bikers give a charity donation.
Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Phil Hayward said: “We get between 20 and 60 bikers attending our weekly meets, which take place from 6pm every Tuesday, and we and are very grateful for their support.”
“The group was originally formed in 2012 to help the Dylan Cecil Memorial Fund and has since gone on to raise funds for other charities including the air ambulance, BARB Search & Rescue, the children’s hospice, and Weston Hospice. We have raised over £6,000 in total.”
“We thank The Lighthouse pub for being so accommodating and, of course, all the bikers. We couldn’t do it without the great local biking community.”
“We see so many friends every week and also many new faces too. Some bikers come from as far as Yeovil each week to join us.”
He says that all motorbikers are very welcome to get involved by attending every Tuesday from 6pm onwards.
