Burnham-On-Sea Memory Walk to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Society

-

A ‘memory walk’ to raise awareness of the Alzheimer’s Society will be held in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday 13th October.

The walk is being hosted by St Andrew’s Church in Burnham and will start at 3pm.

“It will follow an accessible route along The Esplanade for a total of 3km – roughly 6,000 steps,” organiser Hannah Brown told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“That is the number of people who call the Alzheimer’s Society’s National Dementia Helpline every two months.”

She added: “A shorter 1km route is available for those who find distance challenging.”

”Tea and cake will be available in the Church afterwards.”

“Memory walks are aimed at raising awareness of dementia as well as vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.”

No pre-registration is required.
