A Burnham-On-Sea teenager has represented England by competing in the European majorette championships in Italy.
Abi Cooper took part in the event earlier this month where she achieved 3rd place and 4th place during the event and overall the team took home a dozen top-4 places.
Her mother, Laura Cooper, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I was sitting at home watching the live stream and when they called England for 3rd place I was overwhelmed. I am so proud of her and all the team.”
“They have worked so hard to get where they are today and showed such determination and commitment. They were even back at training two days after flying home.”
Abi added: “It was amazing to come third and fourth in such a competitive competition.”
“It made me very proud to be able to come home and say I came third and fourth out of Europe!”
“I am super happy with how well we did and how well the England team did overall!”
