Rita Jolliffe has been appointed President of Burnham-On-Sea Inner Wheel Club in its 70th year.
A formal handover of the role has taken place as outgoing President Kelly Rowe presented Rita with her chain of office, as pictured here.
Rita told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I feel very honoured to have been asked to become the President of Burnham-on-Sea Inner Wheel in this our 70th year and hope to put the emphasis on fun and friendship within the Club but also joining with Rotary on many social occasions also.
We are one of the largest women’s voluntary organisation in the world and Inner Wheel has made a huge difference to so many people’s lives, especially women throughout the world.
I hope we will remember this special year for the help we give to others as well as the support and friendship we give to our members.
Kelly added: “I have fully enjoyed my two years as President of Inner Wheel. I wish Rita good luck in her role as President. I’m sure she will do a fantastic job.”
