A Burnham-On-Sea cyclist is set to pedal off today (Thursday) on a fundraising ride from Bristol to Paris to raise funds for charity.
Gary Bowden, Co-Owner of Dulhorn Farm Holiday Park, is raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Gary has already completed several fundraising challenges this year, including a 60-mile Ultra Marathon Scotland in April, and the 3 Peaks Challenge in July.
“I will be cycling to Paris from Bristol over four days covering around 70-75 miles each day in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Trust.”
“The reason I have been inspired by the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is that Taylor, the son of my friend Adam Lane, was born with CF in 2014 and although he’s currently in good health, this has not always been the case.”
“I have learnt a huge amount about the genetic condition and the trust’s fantastic work. I am supporting them by raising vital funds, enabling them to continue their work into extending lives and hopefully, one day finding a cure.”
“I have been covering an increasing amount of distance every week to prepare for the long days in the saddle.”
“Please visit this link to donate and please, please give whatever you can, it all has an impact!”
“Our aim is to raise as much as we can as a team.”
