A total of £3,800 has this week been handed over to the local groups during a special presentation evening held by Brean Leisure Park’s Tavern Country Music Club.

The groups benefiting include Burnham In Bloom (£500), BARB Search & Rescue (£500), Somerset Time For Youth (£500), In Charley’s Memory (£500), Burnham Sea Cadets (£500), Weston’s Feed The Homeless (£300), Hearing Dogs for Deaf People (£500) and Time Is Precious (£500).

The funds have been raised by the Tavern Country Music Club through the year. The money was handed over this week by the club’s Marcus Chaplin and Tom Anderson.

Marcus, pictured with several of the cheque recipients, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We thank locals and holidaymakers for all their generosity over the season.”

The events have included collections and fundraising events among many activities.
