Residents of New House Farm Holiday Park near Burnham-On-Sea have raised hundreds of pounds for Children’s Hospice South West by holding a fundraising picnic.
The group of fundraisers held a special event called ‘Picnic & Pimms at the Ritz Social Club in Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.
The event was held to boost fundraising for the hospice, which is the club’s nominated charity of 2019.
“Dozens of people attended the event and enjoyed a superb picnic including jam and scones together with a Pimms,” said the club’s manager Paul Hale.
“Some light entertainment was enjoyed during the afternoon which encouraged people to dig deep into their pockets for a very worthy cause.”
“A large raffle of hampers was very well supported during the day and prior to the event. The total raised on the day by New House Farm and from the raffle was £920.00.
