Brave fundraisers in the Burnham-On-Sea area are being sought to take part in a sponsored sea splash for a local charity.
Secret World Wildlife Rescue is organising the dip in the icy cold waters of Lyme Regis bay on Sunday 30th December at 12pm.
Supporters and members of the East Huntspill charity are being encouraged to get involved
“Join us in this challenge by buying your ticket, getting a minimum of £50 sponsorship and braving the cold on the 30th!” said a spokeswoman, who added that sponsor forms are available here.
“Spectators are more than welcome to come on down and have a cheer, a clap and a giggle as the courageous supporters do their bit for British wildlife.”
The arrival is from 10:30am, with the splash at 12pm making the most of any sunshine. The event will proceed weather permitting. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
