Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser loses his locks to raise money for town charity!

-

A Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser has had his head shaved to raise money for a local charity.

Jake Taylor has had his locks cut off in an attempt to raise £1,000 for Burnham-On-Sea charity In Charley’s Memory, which provides local mental health support.

Jake has had his long locks chopped by barber ‘Big Tony’ at Lowe’s Barber Shop in Burnham High Street. He is also donating his unwanted hair to The Little Princess Foundation.

Jake said: “I am extremely grateful for every donation, no matter how big or small. Hair grows back but lives don’t. Huge thanks to ‘Big Tony’ for shaving my head and helping us towards our goal.”

In Charley’s Memory was set up by Charley’s mum, Jo, when at 18 Charley Marks took his own life. Four years later, the charity provides counselling for young people and works closely with local schools providing mental health support and raising awareness.
