Burnham-On-Sea fireworks spectators encouraged to dig deep for local charities

-

Spectators at Sunday night’s Burnham-On-Sea seafront fireworks display are being encouraged to dig deep for local charities by the collectors from Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club has been licensed as the only official charity collectors at the Burnham-On-Sea fireworks display, which will be held on Sunday, 7th November, starting at 6.30pm.

Spokesman George Moon says: “Collecting Rotarians will wear high-visibility tabards and use official collecting buckets and boxes.”

“Collection proceeds will as usual be divided between local charities and good causes and the Town Council towards its charitable work.”

“The Club will be joined by members of the Army Cadet Force, also highly visible, and will be based at the hair salon in Old Station Approach.”

Large crowds are expected to watch the seafront display, which is being organised by the Town Council.

Burnham-On-Sea.com is among the sponsors of the display, alongside Home Farm holiday park, the Taste of the Orient Chinese restaurant, Barrington & Sons solicitors, plus financial advisors Positive Wealth Creation.
