Burnham-On-Sea fire crews dealt with a blaze at a local landfill recycling plant on Friday night.
Firefighters from Taunton, Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea were sent to the facility, at Pawlett, near Bridgwater, at just after 9.45pm.
“On arrival crews confirmed that this fire consisted of 20m x 20m of waste well alight,” says a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
The fire was tackled with two foam jets, two gas detection monitors and a thermal image camera.
“The cause of the fire was accidental and the incident was handed over to on-site staff,” the spokesperson added.
