Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called out on Sunday evening (April 19th) to tackle a fire in a garage attached to a property.
Crews were called to Mendip Close in Axbridge at 5.12pm after the alarm was raised by a resident.
“One crew from Cheddar and one crew from Burnham-On-Sea attended. On arrival the crews confirmed a fire in a air heat exchange pump within the garage.”
“The crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to ensure the area was safe.”
“The fire completely damaged the heater and caused some smoke damage to the remainder of the garage.”
