Dashcam video has been posted online of pieces of furniture falling from the roof of a car, narrowly missing pedestrians in Burnham-On-Sea.
Having lost part of the load the car appears to continue driving through a red light at the crossing next to the Manor Gardens in Berrow Road.
The dashcam footage was recorded on Saturday December 22nd. While the video timestamp says 12.31pm, the video was actually recorded at 11.31am.
The video –Â taken by a motorist who wishes to remain anonymous – shows a group of people, including a child, make their way across the road.
Moments later, an estate car is seen travelling southbound along Berrow Road in the direction of Burnham-On-Sea when several sections of a wooden cabinet or wardrobe fall from the roof onto the pavement and road.
A man, woman and child dodge out of the way as five pieces slide in several directions a close distance away from them.
The motorist who witnessed the incident has sent the video to Avon and Somerset Police.
