Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards were called out on Saturday (May 2nd) to search for a missing person.
The team was called out just after 6pm to search for a person who had reported as missing on Brean beach.
The team were tasked to assist the Police search for a missing male who was thought to be on Brean Beach.
“As some of the team were making their way to the station and the rest were going directly to Brean to ensure social distancing measures were followed, we had a further update from our Coastguard Operations Centre (CGOC) that the person had been located,” said a spokesman.
“Great news as it’s always a good thing that they are found quickly. As no equipment was accessed there was no need for a big decontamination process so the paperwork was filled out, hands were washed and surfaces wiped down before heading home.”
If while out on your daily exercise along the coast you have an emergency, don’t hesitate, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard immediately.
