Burnham-On-Sea charity In Charley’s Memory to hold Christmas fair today

-

A charity set up in memory of Burnham-On-Sea teenager Charley Marks is to hold a fundraising Christmas fair today (Saturday, November 23rd).

In Charley’s Memory was set up after Charley took his own life, aged 18, in 2014 and the charity now supports and helps hundreds of young people plus those affected by mental health.

The Christmas fair will be held at The Ritz Social Club in Burnham from 12-5, with free entry and lots of stalls to buy Christmas presents from.

The event is timed to coincide with the Burnham-On-Sea Christmas lights switch-on event outside and so there will be lots of things to see and do outside as well.

“Our Christmas Fayre is now a popular annual event and is always a lovely day, we have various stalls selling lots of goodies, so if you are looking for some Christmas presents or just want to come down and support us it will be wonderful to see,” said the group’s Dawn Carey.

“This year we are having 2 raffles as we have been so lucky to have been donated a Mulberry Handbag, 4 tickets to see the Exeter chefs and a bottle of champagne.”

The cost of the main raffle tickets is £5.00 and these can still be purchased on the day. Doors open at 12pm and the raffle will be drawn at 3.30 by Mayor Cllr Andy Brewer. We look forward to seeing you there.
