A group of children from Burnham-On-Sea Infant School have visited Tudor Lodge Residential Care Home and brought with them six newly hatched chicks, much to the delight of residents.
A spokesperson says: “The children had been waiting for the eggs to hatch in their classroom for 21 days and proudly held the chicks, showing them to residents in the lounge.”
”They also visited residents’ rooms, for those who were not so mobile, chatting and sharing the chick’s names and information about the hatching process.”
“The children stayed for some refreshments and took back to school Easter treats for everyone in their year.”
