Burnham-On-Sea BMX Club is set to host the 2021 South West BMX Regional Series Round 10 today (Sunday, 31st October).
Riders will travel from across the south west to compete in the event at the club’s race track at Apex Park in Highbridge.
The event is part of a series and will see races for novice and expert riders – with a day of exciting fast-paced action expected. The main action will be between 12-2pm.
“We are encouraging the local community to stop in, participate, or watch the races and learn a little more about our club and the endless opportunities that BMX racing can offer,” says the club’s Stacey Hatch.
She adds: “With the date in mind we are inviting riders and spectators to arrive in fancy dress, to be in with a chance to win a prize voucher!”
“There will also be a pumpkin-carving competition so we are asking guests to bring their pumpkins to be judged for a chance to win a bumper sweet and chocolate hamper! There will be hot food served all day, a cake stall and a raffle with some brilliant prizes to be won.”
“Having recently carried out a number of upgrades to the track, the committee and riders are excited to share with the local community as well as the cycling community.”
