A Burnham-On-Sea bakery shop that closed down earlier this month is to be re-opened by long-running Highbridge baker Maisey’s.
As reported here, The Crusty Cob in Burnham High Street closed down on March 4th, along with the firm’s six other branches across the region.
Now, Maisey’s Bakery, which was established in 1885 and has been trading in Highbridge’s Market Street since 1980, has announced it is taking over the vacant Burnham-On-Sea shop.
Owner Naomi Hambidge told Burnham-On-Sea.com she is looking forward to expanding: “I confirm we are opening another store in Burnham.”
“We will be stocking many of our popular cakes, bread, rolls, and savouries.”
She added that a re-opening date for the Burnham shop will be announced soon with more details.
