Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge gymnasts are celebrating winning a haul of medals.

Highbridge-based Monarchs Gymnastics Club have competed in a Wales v England tournament in the ‘City of Bristol Friendly International’.

The club’s Mandy Warburton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had some amazing results from our Mens 12-18 group, with Joe, Toby, Jack and Mason winning gold medals in both balance and dynamic routines and seeing their best competition yet.”

“Our IDP women’s group, Gina, Evie and Summer, also won gold in both of their routines. Amy, Chloe and Evie also competed at IDP level, and came in second-place, winning silver medals in one routine and bronze in the other.”

“This was the last competition of a very busy and hugely successful year for the club.”

“As well as competing in our usual regional competitions throughout the year, and winning a massive 21 medals in the South West competition, we have also competed in Scotland, Wales and Italy (which was a first for Monarchs), bringing a haul of medals back from each competition.”
