Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater firefighters tackled a kitchen blaze at a property in Woolavington on Sunday evening (July 7th).
Two fire engines from Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea were sent to Highcroft, Woolavington at just after 6.15pm after reports of smoke being seen emerging from a home.
“On arrival crews confirmed that there was a fire within the kitchen and got to work extinguishing the fire using four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets,” said a spokesman.
“The fire was started on top of the cooker. Crews confirmed that nobody was at home at the time of the fire.”
