Over 200 Burnham-On-Sea have take part in a day of learning about bees.
The Burnham Infants School pupils were able to safely see real bees up close, try on beekeeping clothing, and see inside a hive — thanks to a model containing no bees!
During the visit by members of Burnham-on-Sea Bee Keepers Association, the pupils also learnt about products made from honey wax.
The beekeepers gave a talk on bees and the children were able to ask questions.
A spokeswoman for Burnham Infants School told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The children have had a week based on the topic of bees and how important they are to our world.”
“Burnham-On-Sea Bee Keepers Association very kindly brought in an observation hive and talking about bees to the whole school.”
