Burnham and Highbridge Town Band’s first concert of the season this evening (Sunday April 14th) falls 107 years to the day since The Titanic hit a fateful iceberg – and its programme of music has been especially selected to mark the occasion.
“The ‘music of the sea’ will reflect the excitement at the launch of this new ocean-going giant, but also the later poignancy and heroism as the tragic tale unfolded – a mixture of cheers and tears,” explains the band’s Joan Locock.
This special concert will take place at Burnham’s Princess Theatre at 7pm. Doors and bar are open at 6.30pm.
Tickets are priced at £7; £6 for concessions and can be purchased online here via the Box Office.
