Members of a Burnham-On-Sea football club have this week handed over £1,000 to two good causes.
The Burnbridge Wanderers junior football teams play every weekend on the fields next to the Oaktree Arena and, thanks to the support of Oaktree owner Bill Hancock, the club trains and plays there free of charge on the understanding that the fee for the pitch is donated to local charities.
The football club has therefore presented £500 each to Children’s Hospice South West and Somerset Time For Youth.
