Police have begun an investigation into a series of burglaries across the Burnham-On-Sea area.
Since the August bank holiday weekend there have been 12 burglaries around Highbridge, Cheddar and Axbridge which police believe are linked.
The offenders have been gaining access to properties by damaging ground floor windows and doors before searching rooms.
So far the burglars have taken valuables including jewellery, cash, an iPad, a digital radio and a large screen TV.
Tickets to a Travis concert in Bristol were also stolen and police believe these may be the key to finding the criminals.
An investigation is taking place and police are appealing for anyone with information about the incidents to come forward.
Mark Leach from the District Targeting Team, who is involved in the investigation, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “These burglaries have to stop and we are doing all we can to identify the people involved and recover the stolen property.”
“If anyone suspects someone they know is involved or is helping dispose of the stolen property please let me know.”
“I am particularly keen to hear if anyone was asked if they wanted to buy a pair of Travis tickets for a gig in Bristol in October as these had been stolen in one of the burglaries.”
Meanwhile, police are urging homeowners in the areas to keep their doors and windows locked and use timers on your lights to make your home look occupied during the evening. If you have information about the burglaries you can call the police at 101 and quote 91711/13.
