Burglars have stolen hundreds of pounds of hair products in a ‘smash and grab’ at a shop in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea.
A window at Waves & Shades in Victoria Street was smashed in an overnight break-in.
Shop spokeswoman Robyn Smith told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The shelves at the front of the shop were emptied of all the products and several other items were stolen as well.”
“There was smashed glass everywhere – it’s come as a shock and we hope that anyone with information will contact the police.”
A Burnham Police spokesman confirmed: “A window was smashed to gain entry to the building and property, including hair products and equipment, was stolen.”
“An investigation has begun to identify the person responsible and locate the stolen property.”
“Anyone with information about the incident, which occurred at around 3am on January 11th, should contact Avon and Somerset Police on 101 and quote reference 3510/14.”
