Police are this week appealing for witnesses after a large quantity of cigarettes were stolen during a night-time raid on a Brean shop.
Thieves smashed their way into the convenience shop at Warren Farm Holiday Centre in Warren Road, Brean early on Monday morning (June 3rd) before 1am.
Police spokesman Craig Evry told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Two offenders broke the glass door of a business premises in Warren Road, Brean, and went inside. They stole a large quantity of cigarettes from behind a counter. We believe the offenders made off in a vehicle.”
“Our Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene and we are reviewing CCTV footage as part of our ongoing enquiries.”

Jon Harris, Director at Warren Farm, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “At 12.30am, two people broke the door of the shop and stole cigarettes from the premises. The alarm was activated and the thieves ran away quickly.”
Police are keen to hear from anyone with information.
