A Highbridge man has been jailed for five years after having admitted to committing burglary and several other offences.
Peter John Smith, 32, burgled a house in Somerton on August 21st last year and he also forced entry into another home and stole three shotguns.
Smith, pictured, also pleaded guilty to two charges of handling stolen goods and attempted burglary.
He was given an 18 month sentence for the latter offences to be served concurrently.
He had already served 333 days when he appeared at Taunton Crown Court earlier this month.
